Naturopath

The GCRN are tasked with regulating and continuing education for the highest educated naturopaths throughout the United Kingdom.  To meet the standards of the CNHC Core Curriculum and the World Naturopathic Federation (WNF) guidelines, GCRN Member practitioners must have been educated with a standard core curriculum. In keeping with these guidelines and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), applicable candidates for GCRN membership are:

  • Graduates of a naturopathic degree program at a WNF Educational Member school.
    See list here: https://worldnaturopathicfederation.org/educational-members/
The Educational Member school(s) in the UK: School of Health

Please apply here with a copy of your degree or certificate of completion from the WNF Educational Member.

  • Graduates of other naturopathy degree programs that include a minimum of 2500 hours of classroom education and at least 500 hours clinical practice.

Please apply here with a copy of your degree or certificate of completion and complete program transcripts detailing your coursework, translated into English if applicable.

Applications from graduates of naturopathy degree programs that are 100% online will not be accepted.

Once accepted, members on our Register may use the term ‘Registered Naturopath,’ ‘Naturopath,’ or ‘Naturopathic Practitioner.’  Use of the title Doctor or Dr. before a member’s name is expressly prohibited unless the member holds a Ph.D. or other doctoral degree.

Student Members

Students currently enrolled in a naturopathy degree program will be accepted as Student Members. Previous student membership does not confer eligibility to become a GCRN member on graduation. The graduate should meet the criteria for GCRN membership as listed above.

Student members of the GCRN will not be eligible to call themselves naturopaths or any other term suggestion they are a naturopathic professional. Student membership ends when the student finishes their course of study.

Please apply here with transcripts or certificate of enrolment.

Friend of Naturopathy

The category of GCRN membership known as Friend of Naturopathy will be open to any member of the public. The cost of becoming Friend of Naturopathy is £30. Friends of Naturopathy will be eligible for discounts to events, online webinars and benefits as deemed appropriate by the GCRN executive Council.

Friends of Naturopathy will not be eligible to call themselves naturopaths or any other term suggesting they are a naturopathic practitioner.
